The highly anticipated news is out – Dota 2 will be receiving its own line of Funko Pop toys. Funko took to their official Twitter account to reveal the exciting news, showcasing five different heroes in the iconic and vibrant Funko Pop design.
In case you’re unfamiliar with Funko Pops, they are collectible figurines that feature a stylized “super deformed” or “chibi” aesthetic, taking inspiration from Japanese art styles. These figures are typically based on characters from popular culture, including comic books, TV shows, music, and now video games. Made from vinyl and plastic, these toys have become highly sought after by collectors.
The initial line of Dota 2 Funko Pops will feature the beloved heroes Phantom Assassin, Spirit Breaker, Juggernaut, Pudge, and Earthshaker. Each figurine has been meticulously crafted with attention to detail – especially Earthshaker, whose totem is adorned with the same symbols found in the game.
Juggernaut’s distinctive mask perfectly captures the Funko Pop style, while Spirit Breaker’s fierce expression and blood red eyes replicates his in-game appearance. Pudge and Phantom Assassin also look stunning in their Funko Pop renditions.
It’s worth noting that the Earthshaker Funko Pop will be exclusive to GameStop, making it a must-have for collectors or anyone looking to add a rare piece to their collection.
This isn’t the first time that Dota 2 characters have been immortalized in toy form. Good Smile Company, a Japanese toy manufacturer, released a line of Nendoroids in 2016 for that year’s International tournament. However, fans of the game will undoubtedly be thrilled to have even more options to showcase their love for their favorite heroes.
