Dota 2 fans receive a birthday surprise from Lord Gaben, causing further game issues.

Valve Releases Part II of the 2022 Battle Pass for Dota 2, Server Issues Arise

On November 3, the Dota 2 community received an exciting birthday gift from Gabe Newell, also known as Lord Gaben. Valve released Part II of the 2022 battle pass, which included the Diretide event and a plethora of new cosmetics. However, the update was not without its challenges. Shortly after the release, Dota 2’s Game Coordinator experienced technical difficulties, leaving players unable to access the game.

Despite the server issues, enthusiasts took the opportunity to explore the newly added battle pass content. Unfortunately, they quickly realized that several expected releases had been delayed once again, as “Coming Soon” tags adorned much of the content.

Fans had eagerly anticipated the arrival of a new arcana, the third Immortal box, and new terrain. Disappointingly, these items were nowhere to be found. Additionally, the Diretide Candy system was plagued with issues at the beginning, leaving players frustrated. While Valve addressed the Candy situation promptly, it took some time for affected players to recover their lost Candies.

What initially seemed like an incredible birthday gift quickly turned into a rollercoaster of emotions for players who were online at the time of the patch’s release. Confusion ensued, disrupting their gaming sessions.

Fortunately, Dota 2’s servers are now fully operational. However, players are left with lingering anticipation for the promised battle pass content that lives up to Valve’s renowned standards. The 2022 battle pass will be available until January 2023, providing Valve with ample time to deliver continuous new content.
