Dota 2 Champion Collapse Claims Another Pro Excels at His Signature Hero

Collapse Admits Inferiority to Arise as Magnus Player

Despite being hailed as the best Magnus player in the world, two-time TI winner Collapse humbly concedes that Arise, a lesser-known pro player, surpasses him in skill. Collapse openly acknowledged this fact in a tweet on Oct. 31. He admitted to having only a fraction of Arise’s skill at TI10, and although his abilities improved to about half of Arise’s at TI12, he believes he is still two years away from surpassing him at his prime.

Inspired by Arise: The Magnus Montage

Before Team Spirit’s crucial match against LGD in the Upper Bracket Final at TI12, Collapse revealed that he watched one of Arise’s Magnus montage videos on YouTube. This inspired him to pick Magnus in the second game of the series, where he delivered an exceptional performance.

Magnus Mastery: Collapse’s Impressive Record

Collapse boasts an impressive record with Magnus, having selected the hero in 611 public matches with a solid win rate of 59.57%. In professional matches, Collapse’s stats are even more remarkable, having picked Magnus 54 times and achieving a win rate of 66.67%, including two Aegises.

Arise’s Noteworthy Magnus Expertise

Although Arise’s Magnus stats may not match Collapse’s, they should not be overlooked. With a professional match win rate of 55.05% across 218 games, Arise has showcased his prowess on the hero. Considering the number of games he has played and the absence of being part of a top-tier team, his stats carry significant weight.

Furthermore, Arise’s skill has made an impact in the pro scene since 2013 and has inspired other players, including Collapse, to learn from him and excel with the hero. Highlight reels from even eight years ago showcase Arise’s remarkable plays.

It’s evident that Collapse and Arise both excel with Magnus, albeit in different ways. Collapse’s strength lies in his precise decision-making, while Arise brings creativity, artistry, and flair to his plays.
