The Dota 2 competitive season is coming to a close with The International 2023 on the horizon
The upcoming Bali Major will be the final Valve Major event before TI, and teams are fighting for a spot in the biggest annual Dota 2 battle. The prize pool for the Bali Major features the highest amount of DPC points in the season, making it a crucial opportunity for teams to qualify for TI12.
Overview of the Dota 2 Bali Major tournament format
- The 18 teams will be split into two groups of nine
- Teams will play against each other in a single round-robin format
- All group stage matches will be best of two
- The top four seeded teams from each group will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs
- The fifth and sixth-place teams will start in the lower bracket, while the remaining teams will be eliminated
- The group stage will take place from June 29 to July 3
- The playoffs will begin on July 5 and end on July 9
Dota 2 Bali Major prize pool and DPC points distribution
Teams will be competing for a $500,000 prize pool and 3,500 DPC points at the Bali Major. This is an increase from previous Majors, and the rewards will continue to increase as the season progresses.

To earn prize money or DPC points at the Bali Major, teams will need to finish at least seventh in the event. This could potentially secure them a spot at TI12 based on their accumulated points throughout the year.
