Dendi urges Valve to address two issues following the recent Dota 2 update

Dota 2 Patch: Dendi’s Feedback and Bug Fixes

The latest Dota 2 patch may not have been the massive overhaul everyone expected, but players are still diving in and exploring the new hero Muerta. One legendary player, Dendi, remains optimistic despite the initial disappointment.

Dendi, who rose to fame after winning the first International in 2011, is known for his unwavering optimism. Nothing seems to affect the Ukrainian star.

However, Dendi did raise two important issues in the latest patch that he wants to see fixed. First, he noticed that using legacy keys and quick cast together did not work correctly for items. Second, he encountered a problem where enemy heroes with Black King Bar active could not be hit with Revenant’s Brooch, despite it working in the previous patch.

Dendi, a veteran of the game at 33 years old, shared a specific instance from his ranked game as Templar Assassin, where he was unable to hit enemies who had activated Black King Bar despite using Revenant’s Brooch.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the first issue mentioned by Dendi is indeed a bug. However, the second issue is actually an intended feature. When using Revenant’s Brooch, the hero deals Magical Damage, which is prevented by Black King Bar. Therefore, being able to hit Black King Bar heroes in the previous patch was the actual bug, which has now been fixed.

This incident highlights that even TI winners like Dendi can have misunderstandings about Dota 2 mechanics. Nevertheless, the issue with legacy keys and quickcast remains unresolved and needs to be addressed.

Valve is expected to release a hotfix to address this issue and any others that have been identified since the patch launched on March 6.
