Cyber Legacy pushes OG to the brink of elimination at ESL One Birmingham Online

OG’s Playoff Hopes Hang in the Balance at ESL One Birmingham Online

OG is on the brink of elimination from playoff contention at ESL One Birmingham Online after suffering their third-straight loss.

Many top European Dota 2 teams in Group B, including OG, have been defeated by newer rosters like Cyber Legacy. Cyber Legacy’s victory over OG today brings their record to 4-2.

Cyber Legacy has played the most games of any team in the event, with a 10-8 overall record and two days of play remaining. Every series they’ve played has gone to three games, and they’ve only lost to HellRaisers and VP.Prodigy.

In contrast, OG has struggled to stay afloat. They are currently one series behind FlyToMoon and cannot afford to drop another game if they want a chance to make the playoffs.

Alliance and Ninjas in Pyjamas are tied for the third and fourth spots in Group B at 3-2 (8-5). To reach that mark, OG must win their final two matches against Alliance and NiP.

If OG can sweep both Alliance and NiP, they will secure a trip to the playoffs if either team loses just one more game. However, it seems unlikely that OG will be able to secure two 2-0 victories against strong performers like Alliance and NiP.

Losing even one game to either team would significantly lower OG’s chances of making the playoffs and likely result in them being one of the first two squads eliminated in their group.

Cyber Legacy only has one series left to play against FlyToMoon on May 31, which they can use to secure a spot in the upper bracket of the playoffs with a win.
