Controversial Dota 2 professional player expected to benefit from transfer speculation following unexpected departure

Entity Gaming Bids Farewell to Pure, Signs Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov

Entity Gaming, despite a successful season, has made changes to its roster after the International tournament. The organization has decided to part ways with controversial carry player Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko.

Pure joined Entity at the beginning of the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit Summer Tour, following his departure from Virtus.pro due to a controversy involving a Russian militarist symbol drawn on the minimap during a Valve tournament. Despite this controversy, the team performed well in a shorter period, surprising many fans. However, the departure of Pure has sparked rumors about potential changes in the team.

Although Entity had a strong performance leading up to The International 11, they fell short of their expectations, finishing in ninth place. Despite this setback, there were mild rumors about changes within the team, and there was hope that the team would stick together. Unfortunately, that did not turn out to be the case.

With the disappointment of The International 11 in the Western European Dota 2 scene, rumors started swirling about top talent and potential roster changes. One of the rumors involved TORONTOTOKYO, the mid laner of Team Spirit, wanting to join forces with former Evil Geniuses offlaner Nightfall and former VP captain Save-.

These rumors emerged even before The International 11 had concluded, and as Spirit also had a disappointing performance, TORONTOTOKYO eventually left the squad. There were also reports suggesting that Pure might leave Entity to join a roster consisting of former VP players. It seems that this move is now likely to happen.

According to recent reports, BetBoom Team is involved in facilitating this roster change. They helped Nightfall acquire Pure from Entity, and it is speculated that they paid a significant sum to acquire Entity’s contract with Pure. The reports also mention BetBoom Team’s involvement in acquiring the DPC slot of Mind Games in EEU Division I.

Based on previous information, fitting Pure, TORONTOTOKYO, and gpk in the same lineup in their former positions would have been challenging. However, with BetBoom’s involvement, TORONTOTOKYO may transition to a support role.

Considering the early reports about these players’ desire to team up and the timing of the Mind Games slot acquisition, along with the Save- rumors and Pure’s sudden free agency, an official announcement seems imminent.

While the new roster is still being finalized, Entity announced that Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov will be taking Pure’s place in the upcoming season. Watson was previously part of HellRaisers and won the second division of the EEU DPC Tour Three.
