EternaLEnVy and Team NP Reunite with Cloud9
Esports organization Cloud9 has officially signed Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao and the rest of Team NP. This marks a return to the blue and white for all five players.
EternaLEnVy, along with teammates Adrian “FATA-” Trinks, Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling, and Johan “pieliedie” Åström, were members of the original C9 formed in 2014. Arif “MSS” Anwar had a brief stint with the organization in 2015 as well.
Team NP secured their ticket to The International 7 in Seattle by winning the North American regional qualifiers. They defeated Team Freedom in the first place tiebreaker game, denying their rivals automatic qualification.
Although the signing of Team NP has not been officially announced on the Cloud9 website, the organization’s Twitter account posted a short announcement earlier today. CEO Jack Etienne also confirmed the signing in a Reddit comment.
Jack Etienne has stated that Cloud9 will not be taking a cut of the team’s prize money at TI7. He expressed excitement over the reunion, comparing it to the return of a “long lost son”.
EternaLEnVy and his squad will once again wear the familiar Cloud9 colors when The International 7 begins on August 2 in Seattle, Washington.
