Cignal Ultra’s connectivity problems lead to underwhelming Dota 2 Leipzig Major SEA qualifiers

Fnatic, Reality Rift, and TNC Predator Qualify for Dota 2’s Leipzig Major

Fnatic, Reality Rift, and TNC Predator have secured their spots in Dota 2’s DreamLeague Season 13, also known as the Leipzig Major. TNC’s qualification came after their opponents, Cignal Ultra, were unable to reconnect due to a typhoon in the Philippines.

Fnatic had an impressive undefeated run in the qualifiers and faced TNC to determine the first slot for the Leipzig Major. Despite TNC’s recent win at the MDL Chengdu Major, they struggled against Fnatic. Fnatic took advantage of the situation and became the first team to secure a spot in the upcoming Major. They aim to improve on their performance in the MDL Chengdu Major, where they finished in the bottom half of the field.

Reality Rift, a newcomer in the Southeast Asian scene, also qualified for the Leipzig Major. After forming in 2019 and failing to qualify for previous tournaments, Reality Rift made roster changes that revitalized their performance in the DreamLeague qualifiers. They even defeated TNC in the group stage and are eager to make an impact on the big stage.

The final slot for the Leipzig Major was determined through a series between TNC and Cignal Ultra. The series was intense, with both teams winning one game each. However, due to the ongoing typhoon, Cignal Ultra faced a prolonged disconnection for over 20 minutes. Despite controversy surrounding the admin’s handling of the situation, TNC ultimately secured the last ticket to the DreamLeague Major.

Cignal Ultra’s last chance to qualify for the Major will be at the Bukovel Minor, where they will compete against Geek Fam, Boom Esports, and Neon Esports. The Bukovel Minor qualifiers will take place on December 5th and 6th.
