Ceb makes a temporary comeback to OG to initiate their latest team adjustment.

OG Makes Roster Change as Chu Steps Down, Ceb Fills In

The second generation of OG has been focused on utilizing the potential of young players. However, due to travel restrictions, the team has faced challenges from the start. Now, OG is shaking up its formula once again as Evgenii “Chu” Makarov steps down and takes on the role of assistant coach.

While OG has yet to find a permanent replacement for Chu, Sébastien “Ceb” Debs will temporarily rejoin the team for DreamLeague Season 20.

This move will significantly increase Ceb’s workload in Dota 2, as he is already competing in division two of the Western European Dota Pro Circuit, where he is a two-time TI winner. Ceb will have to actively play with both teams unless OG decides to use a substitute while he fulfills his duties on OG.

The roster change also highlights an ongoing issue for OG since its inception. Despite having a solid foundation in Artem “Yuragi” Golubiev, Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov, and Tommy “Taiga” Le, OG has been unable to find the ideal support player to complete the lineup.

Previously, many fans expected Taiga to step down from the team to prioritize his mental health. Taiga did not play with OG in the final weeks of the last DPC season, which led fans to speculate that he might take a break from Dota 2.

With Ceb filling the last spot on OG, Taiga will transition to position five while Ceb takes on position four.

As of now, OG’s roster for DreamLeague Season 20 consists of:

  • Artem “Yuragi” Golubiev — Position one
  • Bozhidar “BZM” Bogdanov — Position two
  • Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin — Position three
  • Sébastien “Ceb” Debs — Position four
  • Tommy “Taiga” Le — Position five
