Burger King, KFC, and Pizza Hut sponsor the SA Dota Pro Circuit

New Sponsors Bring Excitement to Dota 2’s South American Pro Circuit

Dota 2 has traditionally struggled to find sponsors for its tournaments, relying mostly on Valve and crowdfunding for support. However, the 2023 South American Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) has changed that narrative by introducing some major sponsors.

On the red carpet today, the South American DPC showcased its official sponsors, which include Burger King, KFC, and Pizza Hut. This is a significant development for the esports scene in South America, as notable organizations from North America and around the world have also shifted their focus to the region.

These new sponsors indicate the growing popularity of Dota 2 in South America compared to North America. With more big-name sponsors entering the scene, the South American region is poised to become the next big destination for Dota 2.

South America faced sponsor troubles during the 2022 DPC, with several teams waiting months to receive their payments for the final tour. But now, with a lineup of prime-time sponsors, the future looks bright for everyone involved in the esports scene in South America.

This season, the South American DPC is under new management, with ESB taking over from 4D Esports. Alongside the big three sponsors, Betsafe, Bitel, and Grid complete the sponsor lineup for the South American DPC.

The South American Division One action will commence on January 10, as the region’s top eight teams compete for a chance to participate in the Lima Major, the first DPC LAN event in South America.
