William “Blitz” Lee Returns to Coaching, Set to Coach Team Liquid’s Dota 2 Squad

Esports personality William “Blitz” Lee is making a comeback to coaching. He has been appointed as the coach for Team Liquid’s new Dota 2 team, led by Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi, according to his longtime casting partner Austin “Capitalist” Walsh. The announcement was made on the Side Pull Podcast where Capitalist also mentioned that Blitz will cast some events before focusing entirely on his coaching role.

Blitz’s Coaching Experience and Unique Insights

Although Blitz gained popularity as a caster, he has extensive experience as a coach. He has previously worked with renowned teams and players, including the Digital Chaos squad that reached the finals of The International 2016 and the former Liquid lineup captained by Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi. Blitz’s dual role as a caster and coach brings an insider’s perspective to his casting, captivating the Dota 2 community with his stories and experiences.

Blitz’s Contribution to the Korean Dota 2 Scene

Blitz played a crucial role in the development of the Korean Dota 2 scene. He was one of the first Western players to participate in the Nexon Sponsorship League, making significant contributions to the growth and recognition of Dota 2 in Korea.

On the other hand, Capitalist is teaming up with Trent “TrentPax” MacKenzie to form a casting duo, aiming to secure a spot at the next TI. As a result, Gabriel “Lyrical” Cruz, who previously casted TI with TrentPax, is left without a partner.
