Bimbo, Nikobaby, and Ninjaboogie part ways with Mineski following The International 2019

Mineski Makes Roster Changes After Impressive Performance in TI9

After a successful run at The International 2019, Mineski has decided to shake up its roster as the 2019-2020 Dota Pro Circuit gets underway.

One of the first changes is the departure of Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross Jr., who joined the team mid-season to help revive a struggling squad. Ninjaboogie is now a free agent in the Dota 2 scene.

Originally leaving Mineski in September 2018 to join regional rival TNC Predator, ninjaboogie returned to Mineski after his stint with TNC fell apart. He was offered the position of captain as Mineski aimed to rebuild its roster.

Despite struggling to find their footing and compete against top-level teams, Mineski managed to come together and perform exceptionally well in the Southeast Asian regional qualifiers for TI9. They surprised fans by defeating Team Liquid and Team Secret to make it to the main event, where they gave their all and had a strong showing.

However, rumors of the team disbanding began to circulate after their elimination from TI9. Mineski is known for making changes, and it seems they are staying true to that reputation.

Ninjaboogie officially announced his departure from Mineski one day after TI9 ended. In a post on his public Facebook page, he thanked Mineski and his teammates for their support throughout the season.

Alongside ninjaboogie, two other Mineski players, Raging Potato and Nikobaby, have also posted “Looking for Team” messages on Twitter, indicating that they have officially left the organization.

Nikobaby, in particular, had an impressive performance during TI9 and should garner interest from other teams. If not, he would be a great addition to a squad alongside other free agents in the SEA region.

With surprising exits from other teams at TI9, it is expected that more roster changes will occur in the coming days and weeks.
