Beastcoast dominates Infamous to claim victory in 2022 DPC South America Regional Final

Beastcoast Sweeps Infamous to Win South American Winter Tour Regional Final

Beastcoast emerged victorious in the South American Winter Tour Regional Final by sweeping Infamous. Despite changes in rosters among multiple teams in South America, Beastcoast maintained its core team, which has proven to be successful.

This victory continues Beastcoast’s pattern of performing slightly below its rivals during the regular season and then excelling in Regionals, Majors, and The International.

Road to the Finals

In the opening round, Beastcoast defeated Infamous, earning a spot in the grand finals. Thunder Awaken, the region’s top team, was also expected to reach the finals but was upset by Infamous in a competitive 2-0 victory.

With this, Beastcoast faced Infamous in a round one rematch in the grand finals. Throughout the series, Beastcoast showcased their strength and momentum, winning two out of three games in under 29 minutes.

A Thrilling Final Game

The second game of the finals was a long-lasting battle, running for nearly an hour. Despite being at a significant gold disadvantage, Beastcoast displayed their tenacity and teamwork, turning the tide of the game in the final 10 minutes and securing the win.

In game three, Beastcoast dominated early on, and Chris Luck’s Storm Spirit led them to a 3-0 series victory.

Impressive Performance and Rewards

Beastcoast’s triumph earned them $50,000 and 250 DPC points, placing them in the top 10 of the DPC rankings. This achievement positions them well for an invitation to TI11 if they maintain their stellar performance.
