Beastcoast and Team Empire face elimination at MDL Disneyland Paris Major

Lower Bracket of MDL Disneyland Paris Major Kicks Off

The lower bracket of the MDL Disneyland Paris Major began with two single-elimination matches that showcased some emerging talents on the Major stage.

First up was Complexity Gaming against the recently-signed beastcoast roster.
Beastcoast had not shown much in their previous Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) appearances, while Complexity had little experience, as this was their first DPC event of the season. However, Complexity’s lack of experience did not hinder their performance against beastcoast.

Complexity, having fought against stronger opponents such as Evil Geniuses and OG, was well-prepared to face a familiar opponent from their North American region.
Although the match was initially close, a few crucial mistakes in the middle of the game allowed Complexity to take control and dominate beastcoast in the lanes.
Complexity gradually dismantled their opponent’s defenses until victory was inevitable.

With this win, Complexity advances to the second round to face LGD Gaming, while Beastcoast is eliminated from the tournament.

The second match in the lower bracket featured Mineski against Team Empire, another team making their DPC season debut.
However, the match was far from competitive, as Empire continued their poor play from the groups.

Mineski started off slow, allowing Empire to apply pressure. However, Empire’s efforts proved ineffective as Mineski quickly turned the tide in their favor. Around the 15-minute mark, Empire’s fate looked grim as Mineski breached their defenses. Just 20 minutes into the match, Mineski sealed the victory.

With the loss, Empire joins beastcoast in last place. In the next round, Mineski will face a formidable opponent, Virtus Pro.
