“Pubstomp” is a term commonly used in Dota 2 to describe an organized group dominating a public match. It has also become the unofficial name for a viewing party within the Dota 2 community.

While watching sporting events in bars is a common practice, the concept of Pubstomp originated from StarCraft, where it was known as Barcraft. The first Barcraft event was organized by a Reddit user who wanted to watch StarCraft at a bar instead of the usual sports replays. The response was overwhelming, and the term Barcraft was born.

Attending a Pubstomp is not only a great way to enjoy Dota 2 and drinks, but it’s also an opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and make new friends. So get ready for The International 9, starting on Aug. 15, and don’t forget your bottle openers and coasters!
