B8 Takes Over Na’Vi’s Spot at BEYOND EPIC Following Roster Changes

Na’Vi Withdraws from BEYOND EPIC as B8 Takes Their Place

Na’Vi has chosen to withdraw from the BEYOND EPIC tournament in order to finalize their Dota 2 roster for the summer. This decision has opened up an opportunity for another team, B8, to join the Europe/CIS bracket from the closed qualifiers.

Na’Vi’s Withdrawal and B8’s Opportunity

Na’Vi’s absence from the tournament has created an opening for B8, allowing them to showcase their skills in the competition. With Na’Vi out of the picture, B8 now has the chance to shine on the European gaming stage.

Dendi’s Record-Breaking Losing Streak with His New Roster

Dendi, with his new roster, faced a record-breaking losing streak of 0-26 in competitive Dota 2 matches. Despite their improved gameplay, the new roster was unable to secure a spot in the tournament, as Team Empire and Vikin.gg outperformed them.

Dendi’s DDoS Attack Incident

After being eliminated from the tournament by Vikin.gg, Dendi mentioned that he experienced a DDoS attack twice within a two-day period. Although he was able to continue playing, it is unclear whether this incident had a significant impact on his performance during the series.

Na’Vi’s Search for Success and B8’s Opportunity

While B8 resolved its roster issues, Na’Vi is still searching for a sustainable path to success within the CIS gaming scene. Since losing Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov to Virtus.pro in February, Na’Vi has struggled, with only one top three finish at Gamers Without Borders 2020, which was a showmatch event.

Na’Vi’s Dota 2 manager Igor “caff” Sydorenko stated, “The team is still in the process of formation. We are testing new players and we are not yet ready to compete in official tournaments. Therefore, we have to withdraw from Beyond Epic.”

B8 Replaces Na’Vi in the Tournament

As a result of Na’Vi’s last-minute withdrawal, Dendi and his team will take the place of their former team in the BEYOND EPIC tournament. This opportunity is well-deserved, considering B8’s third-place finish in the closed qualifiers. However, this substitution does not affect the seeding for the group stage.

B8’s first match in the tournament is against Team Unique on June 18.
