B8 Dota 2 team drops Xcalibur and LeBronDota from roster

B8’s Dota 2 lineup undergoes changes

Steve “Xcalibur Ye” and Nikola “LeBronDota” Popović have left B8’s Dota 2 lineup, the team announced today.

Longest losing streak in Dota 2 history

B8, led by Dendi, set a dubious record with 24 consecutive losses, the longest losing streak in pro Dota 2 history. This included two eliminations from major online tournaments and a winless performance at the WePlay! Pushka League.

Departure of Xcalibur Ye and LeBronDota

Both Xcalibur Ye and LeBronDota have left the team, but with no hard feelings. LeBronDota thanked Dendi and mentioned that he’s now a free agent, while Xcalibur Ye had a longer statement explaining the team’s subpar results.

Challenges faced by the team

Xcalibur Ye attributed the team’s poor performance to a punishing schedule of online tournaments, which left little time for proper practice. The team struggled to recover from previous losses and failed to find the right strategies, resulting in repeated defeats.

Despite the difficulties, Xcalibur Ye praised Dendi’s leadership and mental strength, believing that he will succeed in the future with the right environment.

B8’s plans for replacements

B8 has not yet announced replacements for Xcalibur Ye and LeBronDota. Dendi, Ghostik, and KingR will remain on the roster.

Competitive CIS scene

With other CIS teams acquiring talented players, such as Natus Vincere and Virtus Pro, B8 will face a challenge in finding skilled players to fill their roster.

In the meantime, B8 will take a break to recover and regroup.
