Tundra Esports Signs Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling as Head Coach

Tundra Esports has made another move to strengthen its Dota 2 lineup by hiring Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling as the team’s head coach. This decision follows the organization’s commitment to supporting its roster long-term, with player contracts in place until 2024.

Aui_2000: A Veteran Player and Coach

Aui_2000 is a seasoned Dota player, coach, and talent who has been a part of the competitive scene since 2012. He is known for his innovative item builds, as well as his expertise in playing technically demanding support heroes.

Joining Tundra Esports

Aui_2000 has had a diverse career, playing for various North American teams and participating in several major events, including The International 3, where he ultimately won the championship with Evil Geniuses. Following his playing career, he transitioned to coaching, starting with Team Secret in 2016.

Throughout his journey, Aui_2000 has brought stability to the teams he’s been a part of and achieved success both as a player and coach. He coached teams like Fnatic and Quincy Crew, competing at top-level events. Despite the challenges posed by COVID, he continued to make an impact in the scene with Fighting PandaS and CR4ZY.

Coming Full Circle

In 2021, Aui_2000 took on a commentator role during the Dota Pro Circuit. However, as the new season begins, he’s returning to the competitive scene as Tundra Esports’ head coach. He will be joining former teammates Fata, Sneyking, and Oliver “skiter” Lepko on the team.

“For me, building a strong foundation is more important than winning or losing,” Aui_2000 said. “Winning is a natural result of having the right communication and letting our ideas grow together.”

A Promising Future

Tundra Esports sees Aui_2000 as a valuable addition to their roster as they embark on the path to TI11 and beyond. This move demonstrates the organization’s commitment to maintaining a stable core lineup for the foreseeable future.

The team’s first challenge in the 2022 DPC’s Winter Tour will be against Alliance on November 30 at 8am CT.
