Shopify Rebellion shines in Dota Pro Circuit
Shopify Rebellion is off to a strong start in the Dota Pro Circuit. They performed exceptionally well in the Winter Tour, winning six matches and losing only one. In the Group Stages of the Lima Major, they continued their impressive form with three wins and four draws.
Today, they faced their toughest challenge yet. In the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals, they went head-to-head with Team Spirit, the winners of TI10. Although they lost the first match in just 30 minutes, they made a comeback in the second, pushing their cross-region rivals to a decisive third match. Despite a strong start in the laning phase, they suffered a detrimental teamfight around Roshan’s pit early on. Arteezy was the sole survivor, while all five members of Team Spirit remained standing.
However, instead of giving up, Arteezy patiently waited for the perfect opportunity. As Team Spirit focused on taking down Roshan, he seized the moment and executed one of the most daring Aegis snatches in Dota 2 history.
The Canadian star activated his BKB, blinked into the pit when Roshan was nearly defeated, unleashed the perfect ultimate as Shadow Fiend, instilling fear in Team Spirit. Just as Roshan fell, Arteezy swiftly grabbed the Aegis and teleported back to base, escaping unscathed.
The caster’s exuberant reaction captured the gravity of the moment.
Arteezy’s incredible play tilted the momentum heavily in favor of Shopify Rebellion, and they never let it slip away. The North American powerhouses breezed through the remainder of the game and secured the victory at around the 40-minute mark.
Next, they will face the winners of Team Liquid and Talon Esports in the Upper Bracket Semifinals on March 2. As for Team Spirit, they have been relegated to the Lower Bracket Round 1, where they will face PSG.LGD.
Regardless of the outcome, Shopify Rebellion has already etched their name in the history of the Lima Major.
