Professional Dota 2 Coach Appeals for Unban Amidst Mass Ban Wave
A professional Dota 2 coach finds himself caught up in the recent wave of bans affecting the MOBA community due to the controversial third-party software, Overplus. Andrey “Mag” Chipenko, coach of B8, is now appealing to Valve to overturn his ban.
Earlier this week, thousands of Dota players were hit with VAC bans for their use of the tool. Among them, Mag maintains his innocence, explaining in a tweet on X (formerly Twitter) on Feb. 9 that he is requesting an unban because he only briefly downloaded the software and never participated in any online matches while it was active.
