Alliance Triumphs EPIC League Division 2 Championship

Alliance Claims EPIC League Division Two Title

In the world of Dota 2, Divisional events have been quite popular in 2020. The EPIC League is a recent example of a two-stage tournament where a team drops down from Division One and competes for the Division Two title.

Alliance, one of the last teams to be relegated from the upper division into Division Two, didn’t have much momentum going for them. However, their strong roster proved to be more than enough as they dominated the playoffs and emerged as the champions of EPIC League Division Two.

A Strong Performance by Alliance

Throughout the tournament, Alliance faced little to no pressure until the lower-bracket finals. They defeated Winstrike team, Spider Pigzs, and the newly formed CIS super-stack Just Error. Their final challenge came from Gambit Esports, but a stellar performance by Nikolay “Nikobaby” Nikolov on Spectre secured their victory and propelled them into the grand finals.

Live to Win Fights Against the Odds

Live to Win, a team of experienced CIS players led by Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev, were the underdogs in their match against Alliance. However, they put up a strong fight and pushed Alliance to their limits in the series. Their strategic picks of heroes like Snapfire, Spectre, and Void Spirit challenged Alliance’s top-tier roster.

Alliance’s Triumph and Conclusion

Alliance managed to turn the tables and defeat Live to Win, securing a 3-2 victory and claiming the EPIC League Division Two title. With their controlled tempo and an outstanding performance by Gustav “s4” Magnusson and Nikobaby, Alliance dominated the final game. While it may not be Division One title, Alliance made the most out of their relegation and brought home the trophy and a prize of $20,000.
