Alliance Parts Ways with Handsken and okcya from Dota 2 Roster

Alliance Makes Changes to Dota 2 Roster After Disappointing Winter Tour

Alliance, the professional esports organization, is shaking up its Dota 2 roster following a lackluster performance in the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit Winter Tour. The team has decided to part ways with both team captain Simon “Handsken” Rasmus Haag and coach Niklas “okcya” Koskinen. This is just the first of several changes that Alliance’s management is planning, with CEO and co-founder Jonathan “Loda” Berg hinting at more roster adjustments before the start of the Spring Tour.

A Breakdown of Trust Leads to Roster Changes

Loda explained that the team experienced a “breakdown of trust” during the Winter Tour, which ultimately affected their performance. In response to this, changes were deemed necessary. The organization worked to resolve the situation but discovered that certain players were not willing to continue together. As a result, Handsken was benched, and Okcya was removed from the roster.

Alliance’s Relocation to Division Two

Under Handsken’s leadership, Alliance struggled in division one of Europe’s regional league, finishing in fifth place with a record of 1-6. As a consequence, the team will now compete in division two for the upcoming DPC Tour. To ensure future competitiveness, Alliance’s management is focused on building a motivated roster despite the demotion.

Remaining Roster and the Untouchable Nikobaby

For now, the rest of Alliance’s roster remains unchanged. Nikobaby, Rodrigo “Leslão” Santos, Ondřej “Supream^” Štarha, Adam “Aramis” Moroz, and substitute Henrik “AdmiralBulldog” Ahnberg will continue to represent the team. AdmiralBulldog will serve as a substitute as needed during the rebuilding process. Nikobaby is now the sole remaining player from Alliance’s TI10 roster and is considered to be an indispensable part of the team.
