Alliance and paiN Gaming dominate early at Dota Summit 10.

Alliance Dominates Group Stage at Dota Summit 10

Alliance proved their dominance during the group stage of Dota Summit 10, although they did face some tough competition.

PaiN Gaming Challenges Alliance

PaiN Gaming was the only team to take a game off of Alliance, splitting their best-of-two series on day one. This gave Alliance a 9-1 record heading into the playoffs.

Alliance’s impressive performance in the group stage was highlighted by Monster Gaming on Twitter.

Alliance Tops Group Stage

Alliance finished with the best record in the group stage, winning all their matches except for the one against paiN and struggling in their matchup against Team Serenity. Serenity’s aggressive playstyle posed a challenge for the other teams, particularly the North American captains who were not used to it.

Tough Start for NA Teams

The three North American representatives, Complexity Gaming, J Storm, and Serenity, had a difficult start in the tournament. J Storm in particular struggled on day one and only managed to win one game.

Although things slightly improved for Complexity and J Storm on day two, both teams ended up at the bottom of the rankings. Complexity finished with a 2-8 record, while J Storm and Serenity tied for fourth place with a 3-7 record.

beastcoast Secures Third Seed

The only team to have an even record in the group stage was beastcoast, who split their games against Complexity, J Storm, and paiN. Despite losing to Alliance at the start of day two, they ended the day strong by defeating Serenity and securing the third seed.

Playoff Seeds Determined

Alliance and paiN claimed the top seeds for the playoffs due to their performance in the group stage. This sets up a rematch between the two teams, which could determine the winner of Dota Summit 10.

The playoffs will take place from July 27 to 28, with beastcoast facing Complexity and Serenity playing J Storm in the elimination matches.
