Znajder reveals hardships following his departure from Fnatic, involving blackmail, defamation, and unpaid dues.

Znajder Opens Up About Personal Struggles After Being Kicked from Fnatic

Andreas “znajder” Lindberg, the former CS:GO Major winner, has shared his journey of hardship and personal struggles following his removal from Fnatic in 2014. In a heartfelt statement on Twitter, he revealed how his life took a turn for the worse after being replaced by Olof “olofmeister” Kjajber and Freddy “KRiMZ” Johansson, the legendary Swedish duo. The next year, Fnatic went on to win two consecutive Valve Majors—ESL One Katowice and ESL One Cologne.

The Downfall and Battle with Depression

Znajder expressed that he faced severe personal challenges, including depression and reliance on drugs to cope with his overwhelming sadness. Although he was given another opportunity with Team Dignitas in 2015, he encountered issues with his U.S. visa, which eventually led to his departure from the team.

Blackmail and Financial Struggles

The 25-year-old player alleged that Dignitas owner Michael “ODEE” O’Dell attempted to blackmail him by pressuring him into signing a contract that offered no salary, prize money, or sticker money, while keeping quiet about supposed “crimes committed.” Znajder fought a legal battle and claimed victory, but only received 30 percent of the compensation he was owed. He then joined GODSENT, where he reunited with his former Fnatic teammates for a brief period, but faced challenges with anxiety and insomnia, resorting to “strong sleeping pills” that impacted his performance. GODSENT removed him from the roster in November during team restructuring.

Current Struggles and a Message of Resilience

Recently, Znajder revealed that he has been targeted with rumors within the Counter-Strike scene, accusing him of being a drug dealer and addict. Additionally, he claims that a well-known esports brand owes him a significant amount of money. As he faces financial difficulties, it remains uncertain whether he will continue to compete. Despite his hardships, Znajder emphasizes that he doesn’t want people to pity him and is determined to overcome his challenges. He shared his plans to face his demons and emerge victorious, leaving his audience with a heartfelt message to take care of each other.

Znajder received widespread support on Twitter, including messages of encouragement from former teammates, event talent, and competitors who recognize his impact on CS:GO history.
