Virtus Pro Thrills Home Crowd with Elimination of North

Virtus Pro Defeats North in PGL Major Quarterfinals

Virtus Pro continued their domination in the PGL Major quarterfinals, defeating North in two straight maps. The Polish legends secured a 16-9 victory on Cobblestone and a 16-10 win on Nuke. Despite North’s efforts, Virtus Pro remained in control throughout the competitive series.

Polish Veterans Lead the Way

In a game reminiscent of the past, Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas and Filip “NEO” Kubski, two of the oldest veteran players in esports, took charge and guided their teammates to victory. TaZ ended Cobblestone with a triple kill to secure match point. During the post-game interview, TaZ credited the rowdy home crowd in Krakow, Poland for motivating the team, referring to them as “our sixth man.”

Strong Performances from Virtus Pro

Pawel “byali” Bielinksi stepped up on Nuke, obtaining 30 frags to help Virtus Pro finish the job. NEO proved to be the second-leading scorer once again. North had their moments, particularly from Rene “cajunb” Borg, who displayed late round heroics on Nuke with a quad kill and a one-on-two clutch. However, apart from Emil “Magisk” Reif, North struggled to make an impact. Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen, in particular, had a poor performance, posting the worst ratios in the game and failing to reach double digit frags on the deciding map.

Virtus Pro Thrives Under Pressure

Virtus Pro’s ability to thrive under pressure was once again evident in this match. The team has become known for performing their best when faced with high-stakes situations. TaZ expressed his love for such pressure, stating, “This is the pressure I love. That’s what we need.”

In the semifinals, Virtus Pro will be facing the Brazilian team, Immortals.
