Virtus Pro, Hellraisers, and Tyloo Eliminated at StarSeries

Three More Teams Eliminated from StarSeries 5 as Swiss Stage Concludes

StarSeries 5 saw three more teams being sent home on the final day of the initial Swiss stage. With six teams sitting on 1-2 records, the first three matches of the day were crucial eliminators, resulting in six out of the twelve remaining teams being eliminated.

In a surprising turn of events, GODSENT eliminated Tyloo in the opening match of the day. Tyloo had a strong start with a 16-12 win on Mirage but couldn’t maintain their dominance as GODSENT fired back on Overpass. GODSENT eventually sealed the series with a victory on Inferno.

Virtus Pro, who had a disappointing tournament, was also eliminated. They faced Renegades in an intriguing series. Renegades secured a comfortable 16-7 victory on Train, VP’s map pick. However, VP dominated Renegades’ pick on Inferno. The series went down to the wire with a final map on Cache, but Renegades emerged victorious and kept their tournament hopes alive.

NRG Esports continued their resurgence from the lower bracket, defeating Hellraisers in the early eliminator. NRG displayed their dominance with a 16-3 win on Overpass and sealed the series with a 16-3 victory on Inferno.

In the other match, Ninjas in Pyjamas surprised everyone by securing a 2-0 victory over North. Despite predictions favoring North, NiP proved their resilience and advanced to the playoff bracket alongside AGO Esports and SK Gaming.
