Virtus Pro emerges victorious at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas

Poland’s Top CS:GO Team Victorious at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas

Poland’s best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team, Virtus Pro, has once again proven their dominance in the esports scene. After a thrilling series, Virtus Pro emerged as the champions of DreamHack Masters Las Vegas, defeating their Brazilian rivals, SK Gaming, in the grand final.

The Plow Strikes Back

This was Virtus Pro’s second grand final in just two months, and they made sure to come out on top this time. The intense three-game final took place on Cobblestone, Train, and Mirage – all maps that both teams are highly skilled in. The tension was palpable as each game showcased the remarkable skills of both teams.

SK Gaming, with their recent addition João “felps” Vasconcellos, put up a strong fight alongside established stars Marcelo “coldzera” David and Fernando “fer” Alvarenga. However, Virtus Pro proved to be an entirely different beast, demonstrating their exceptional teamwork and individual prowess.

Snax’s Stellar Performance

Virtus Pro’s star player, Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, consistently closed out rounds for the Polish team, showcasing his exceptional skills. Whenever Snax wasn’t able to secure the win, his teammates always stepped up with their trademark magical plays. The most memorable moment came in round 26 of the final map when veteran player Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas won an incredible one-on-two encounter against felps and Epitácio “TACO” de Melo, turning the game around.

On their way to the finals, Virtus Pro convincingly defeated Astralis, the team that claimed victory at the ELEAGUE Major grand finals. TaZ made it clear that Virtus Pro had their sights set on the championship. “We didn’t lose the final, Astralis stole it from us,” he declared.

Domination by Virtus Pro

The team regarded as the best in the world, Astralis, appeared completely outmatched throughout the series. They managed to secure only seven rounds across the two maps they lost, highlighting Virtus Pro’s exceptional performance.

This victory marks Virtus Pro’s first title of 2017 and their second grand final appearance. After a challenging year in 2016, the Polish squad is determined to make up for lost time and establish their dominance in the esports world.
