The Exciting Matches in DreamHack Masters Malmö Group Stage
Tomorrow is a big day for the DreamHack Masters Malmö group stage, as the best-of-three winners’ matches will take place, leading up to the event’s conclusion on Sept. 3.
The first playoff spot in Group A will be determined by the match between SK Gaming and North. SK Gaming defeated BOOT-dreamScape with a huge 16-2 win on Mirage, while North bested Cloud9 16-10 on Inferno. The loser of the SK-North match will face Cloud9 in a best-of-three elimination match to decide the second playoff spot from Group A.

The fight for a playoff spot in Group B is between Astralis and Natus Vincere. The loser of their match will then go up against Renegades, who caused an upset by defeating Virtus Pro 16-7 on Cache.
Group C also has some interesting matchups due to an unexpected win. Gambit Esports and Ninjas in Pyjamas will compete in the Group C winners’ match, with NiP defeating a formidable FaZe Clan roster 16-8 on Nuke. Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg proved to be a force to be reckoned with, dropping a 30 kill bomb against a struggling FaZe. Gambit, on the other hand, had an easy 16-6 win over Mousesports on Train.
The initial matches in Group D were intense, as Immortals and G2 Esports both managed to survive close games. Immortals narrowly defeated Fnatic 16-14 on Cobblestone, while G2 Esports came out on top against Team EnVyUs on Inferno with a score of 16-13. Both teams put up impressive performances, with Dan “apEX” Madesclaire and Kenny “kennyS” Schrub standing out.
Tomorrow’s winners’ matches will be the second to last day in the group stage, as the teams gear up for the exciting Counter-Strike action at the Malmö Arena on Sept. 2.
