Thorin’s Top 10 CS:GO World Rankings – December 22, 2015

CS:GO World Rankings: December 2015

CS:GO World Rankings are always a challenge to compile, considering the constant changes in the esports scene. To simplify the process, I have reviewed the recent performance of each team and used my own analysis to determine the top 10 teams globally. Here are the rankings as of December 2015.

Ranking Criteria

I only consider offline results for my rankings. I focus on a team’s performance over a span of approximately three months, giving more weight to recent tournament results. Factors such as finishes, consistency, current form, and opponents faced are all taken into account.

Recent Events

Since the last rankings in late October, several events have taken place, including Dreamhack Cluj-Napoca, CEVO-P S8, iBUYPOWER Cup, RGN Pro Series, IEM X San Jose, FACEIT Stage 3, Fragbite Masters S5 Finals, and ESL ESEA PL S2 Finals.

Top 10 World Rankings

1. EnVyUs (kennyS, Happy, kioShiMa, apEX, and NBK)

EnVyUs holds the top spot by a slim margin, despite recent struggles. They are the champions of the last major and had impressive wins against world-class teams at Gfinity. However, they need to show better results in upcoming tournaments to maintain their position.

2. FNATIC (KRiMZ, JW, olofm, Flusha, and dennis)

Based on their recent form and numerous first place finishes, FNATIC is a strong contender for the number one spot. However, EnVyUs still has an edge with their series wins and major title. In the coming months, FNATIC is likely to challenge for the top spot.

3. Na`Vi (GuardiaN, Edward, Seized, flamie, and Zeus)

Na`Vi has shown their elite level capabilities with recent strong finishes and series wins against top teams. They are back in relevance after a slump, and their performance suggests they can compete with EnVyUs and FNATIC.

4. ex-Team SoloMid (device, dupreeh, cajunb, Xyp9x, and karrigan)

TSM has had a shaky period since the major, but they still manage to perform well and consistently finish in the top four. They have the potential to challenge the top contenders, but something is holding them back from winning big series.

5. Virtus.pro (Snax, byali, pasha, NEO, and TaZ)

Virtus.pro remains a dangerous team with the ability to beat top opponents. They have had ups and downs in recent tournaments but are still capable of winning trophies. While they may not become the world number ones, they will always be a formidable team.

6. Ninjas in Pyjamas (GeT_RiGhT, f0rest, friberg, Xizt, and allu)

NiP has shown a significant improvement in recent months, with wins against top-ranked teams such as Titan, TSM, and FNATIC. Their finish at the major and strong performances at other tournaments have solidified their position in the top six.

7. G2 (Aizy, Rain, Maikelele, jkaem, and fox)

G2 had an impressive run at the major, but their lack of tournament finishes and recent roster changes affect their ranking. They have the potential to be a top team, but they need more consistent results and tournament appearances.

8. Luminosity (coldzera, fer, FalleN, fnx, and TACO)

Luminosity has made a name for themselves with their strong performances against top international teams. Their run to the final at FACEIT put them in the spotlight, but their ESL ESEA performance brought them back down to earth. They have the potential to climb higher in the rankings in 2016.

9. mousesports (nex, ChrisJ, denis, NiKo, and gob b)

Mousesports had a surprising run to the CEVO-P final, beating the likes of Na`Vi and Luminosity. However, with recent roster changes and few results, they need to prove themselves in early 2016 to maintain their position.

10. Titan (shox, SmithZz, Ex6TenZ, ScreaM, and RpK)

Titan retains the 10th spot due to their strong performance at CEVO-P, including a win against Na`Vi. Although their results at the major were disappointing, they have the edge over Cloud9 due to better performances against top-ranked opponents.

These rankings will resume in 2016, as there are no more events for the year.
