The main reason TyLoo missed the Boston Major was Peacemaker’s sticker absence.

TyLoo Withdraws from Major Due to Sticker Controversy

TyLoo, the esports organization, announced that they will not be participating in the $1 million Major for the first time ever. The reason behind this decision is the inclusion of Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand’s player autograph sticker instead of Luis “Peacemaker” Tadeu’s sticker in the game. Failed negotiations between TyLoo and Peacemaker regarding compensation led to the team’s final decision to skip the Major. Valve and ELEAGUE also played a minor role in the sticker controversy.

Details of the Sticker Dispute

TyLoo stated that Peacemaker was unwilling to attend the Major unless he received a portion of the organization’s sticker profits. This confirms a previous report that Peacemaker negotiated his status as a stand-in and requested a percentage of TyLoo’s profits. The main reason behind this demand was that BnTeT’s sticker was included in the game instead of his own. Unfortunately, BnTeT was unable to attend the Major due to visa issues. Peacemaker also claims that Valve accepted his player autograph sticker before the initial release.

Peacemaker’s Reasons for Not Playing

Peacemaker expressed his preference for TyLoo to find a different stand-in, stating that he has no desire to compete as a player. He believed that a poor performance would negatively impact his image. Additionally, he would have to sacrifice family time and practice with his contracted team, Heroic.

ELEAGUE’s Role and TyLoo’s Decision

TyLoo reached out to ELEAGUE to request a stand-in from outside the core players who competed at the Asia Minor. However, their request was denied, as ELEAGUE has a strict policy regarding stand-ins at the Major. This left TyLoo with only two options: using temporary coach Peacemaker as a substitute or not attending the Major at all.

After learning that he did not receive a personal sticker, Peacemaker attempted to reach a compromise with TyLoo regarding his compensation as a player rather than a coach. Despite reducing his asking price, TyLoo chose to forgo the Major rather than have the Brazilian coach participate—an action that Peacemaker sees as a sign of resentment.

TyLoo relinquished their slot in the Major, allowing Flash Gaming to take their place. Valve has since added Flash Gaming’s stickers to CS:GO, while TyLoo’s stickers have become highly sought after on the Steam community market.
