Team Liquid says goodbye to Pimp as his contract concludes

Jacob “Pimp” Winneche Parts Ways with Team Liquid

Pro player Jacob “Pimp” Winneche has announced that his contract with Team Liquid has come to an end. The organization says goodbye to their former AWPer, who requested a transfer following underwhelming performances earlier this year.

Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken replaced Pimp in April, joining Team Liquid after playing with Misfits. As a result, Pimp was moved to the bench and Josh “jdm” Marzano took over as the team’s main AWPer.

In March, Pimp explained, “I no longer feel that playing for Liquid fulfills my personal expectations and goals, nor do I feel I can provide the commitment necessary to continue with the team on a long-term basis.”

Since being benched, Pimp has taken on various roles with DreamHack, a leading tournament organizer. He will be an analyst at the upcoming DreamHack Valencia Counter-Strike tournament, which runs from July 13 to 15.

It remains uncertain whether Pimp will return to Europe in search of a new Counter-Strike team that needs an AWPer or if he will continue as a full-time analyst.
