Team Liquid maintains the NA dream and triumphs over Fnatic with a 2-0 victory at ESL One Cologne.

Team Liquid Makes a Comeback in ESL One Cologne

In a stunning display of skill, Team Liquid emerged as the comeback kings of ESL One Cologne by defeating Fnatic 2-0 in the semifinals.

Yesterday, Team Liquid pulled off an unexpected comeback victory over Natus Vincere, losing the first map but dominating the next two. Today, they continue their winning streak with a total of four consecutive wins.

Despite starting both maps at a disadvantage, Liquid fought their way back into the game. In the first match on Cobblestone, Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski made a clutch 1v2 play that changed the momentum of the game, leading Liquid to a 16-13 victory.

The second match on Cache was equally close, with stand-in Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev leading the team to another 16-13 victory, despite Fnatic’s nine-round streak in the second half.

Tomorrow, Liquid will face off against the top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team in the world, SK Gaming (formerly Luminosity Gaming), in the grand finals. SK Gaming secured their spot in the finals by winning their semifinal match against Virtus.pro earlier today. The finals will begin at 11am ET / 8am PT.
