Team Dignitas adds SoaR Gaming’s CS:GO roster

Team Dignitas Signs Former SoaR Gaming Roster for ESL Pro League

Team Dignitas has officially announced that they will be fielding a North American team in the ESL Pro League. The organization has signed the former SoaR Gaming roster, as announced today.

Transition from SoaR to Team Dignitas

SoaR, a team that recently qualified for the ESL Pro League through the ESEA Premier division Finals, consists of an entirely amateur roster. However, there were rumors that the SoaR organization couldn’t afford to pay the players a competitive salary. As a result, the qualifying team has transitioned to Team Dignitas and will be representing the black and yellow in the NA region of the league.

The Dignitas roster features Matthew “mCe” Elmore, Logan “Voltage” Long, Jack “xCeeD” Holiman, Michael “Grim” Wince, and Mitch “mitch” Semago. MCe will be leading the charge in-game as the play-caller for this young roster.

Dignitas’ Previous Endeavors

Before this move, Dignitas had been experimenting with multiple free agents from Europe in the latter half of 2017. However, the team faced difficulties in reaching events due to failed runs in online qualifiers. Consequently, the team gradually disbanded as players were released by the organization over the past couple of months.

“So many esports pioneers and Counter-Strike legends have played under the Team Dignitas banner,” mCe stated in the team’s announcement. “It is inspiring and humbling that we, too, will compete in the same jerseys. We are a young team, but this pressure to succeed is what drives our team; we are ready to prove ourselves.”

Upcoming Matches

Dignitas’ new lineup will be seen in action starting February 13 when online competition in the ESL Pro League begins.
