STYKO to Replace Cloud9 at ESL One Cologne

Martin “STYKO” Styk Joins Cloud9 as Fifth Player for ESL One Cologne

Prior to ESL One Cologne, Martin “STYKO” Styk has found a temporary home in a North American team.

Cloud9 has announced that STYKO will be playing as their fifth player for ESL One Cologne, filling the vacant spot left by Pujan “FNS” Mehta who was benched in May.

STYKO Replaces Former G2 Esports Star mixwell

Rumors initially suggested that former G2 Esports star Oscar “mixwell” Canellas would be filling in for Cloud9 at the prestigious ESL event. However, Mousesports benched STYKO and replaced him with Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski just three days ago.

The Search for a Solid Fifth Player Continues

The addition of STYKO does not confirm him as the team’s new fifth player. Cloud9 has been struggling to find a suitable fifth player since FNS’ benching over a month ago. In an interview with , Will “RUSH” Wierzba emphasized the team’s desire to carefully choose their next fifth player.

“We need to be 100 percent sure about our next player. We don’t want to rush it and end up with someone we’re unsure of. We want a long-term solution that will help us improve,” said RUSH.

STYKO Takes on Support Role for Cloud9

STYKO is expected to play a support role for Cloud9 at ESL One Cologne, showcasing the same role he had in Mousesports. The team’s first match will be against Ninjas in Pyjamas on July 3.
