Snax Joins Mousesports Following His Nearly Five-Year Stint with Virtus Pro, Replacing STYKO

A Virtus Pro Star Joins Mousesports

Virtus Pro veteran, Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, has made the move to a new international team, Mousesports.

Mouz has officially announced the signing of Snax to its CS:GO roster, replacing Martin “STYKO” Styk. Snax will be leaving Virtus Pro after a long tenure of almost five years with the organization. Piotr “morelz” Taterka from Tomorrow.gg will be trialed by VP as a replacement for Snax.

Virtus Pro has faced a downward spiral since their second-place finish at the ELEAGUE Atlanta Major in 2017. Despite some decent performances over the last year and a half, the team has struggled to recover. This led to the replacement of Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas with Michal “MICHU” Muller in March. Snax’s departure means that only Filip “neo” Kubski, Jaroslaw “pashaBiceps” Jarzabkowski, and Pawel “byali” Bielinski remain from the original VP lineup, which was once the longest lasting team in CS:GO before 2018.

This change comes as a surprise for Mousesports, as they have been performing well in recent months at various tournaments. However, with the substitution of STYKO and the addition of Snax, Mouz will need to make adjustments to their team composition. Snax, as a flexible player who can AWP and use a rifle, will also need to work on improving his English skills.

In the organization’s announcement, Snax expressed his excitement about joining Mousesports and the need for a fresh start. Although he is sad to leave Virtus Pro, he believes that sometimes you need to move forward. He also wishes his former teammates at VP the best and hopes they can return to form. Snax and Mousesports are ready to make a great impact.

Mousesports’ new lineup will debut at ESL One Cologne on July 3, where they will face Gambit Esports in their opening Group A match.
