SK Gaming Defeats FaZe Clan in Grand Finals of ESL Pro League
The grand finals of ESL Pro League’s sixth season came down to a fierce battle between Brazilian team SK Gaming and European superteam FaZe Clan. After four intense games, it was SK Gaming who emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over FaZe Clan.
Map one: Inferno
The series began in favor of FaZe Clan on map Inferno. They established an early lead, but SK Gaming fought back with solid holds against FaZe’s attempts at breaching the A bomb site. In the end, FaZe Clan walked away as the winners of the first game.
Map two: Overpass
Both teams favored the map Overpass, but it was SK Gaming who dominated the first half. They consistently shut down FaZe Clan’s attempts and ended the half with a lead. FaZe Clan struggled to find openings in the second half, and SK Gaming tied the series.
Map three: Mirage
SK Gaming continued their dominance in the third map, Mirage. They completely outplayed FaZe Clan in the first half, establishing a huge lead. Despite a better performance from FaZe Clan in the second half, SK Gaming’s lead was insurmountable and they found themselves on tournament point.
Map four: Train
In the first half of the final map, Train, SK Gaming initially had the upper hand, but FaZe Clan staged an incredible comeback to take the lead. However, SK Gaming proved their strength on the CT-side of the map and quickly caught up with FaZe Clan. In a clutch play, FaZe Clan managed to keep their tournament dreams alive with a one-vs-two situation. But ultimately, SK Gaming prevailed with a 3-1 win.
