SK Gaming crush Misfits in EPL Season 6 semifinals

SK Gaming Secures Spot in ESL Pro League Season Six Grand Finals

SK Gaming effortlessly secured their spot in the ESL Pro League season six grand finals.

Brazilian favorites, SK Gaming, easily defeated the dark horses Misfits in two extremely one-sided games. Despite Misfits’ impressive performances prior to the tournament, SK Gaming showcased their dominance and proved that Misfits still have a lot of work ahead of them.

Misfits showed strength in their pistol rounds, winning both on the opening map Cobblestone. However, once SK Gaming had enough money to buy full sets of weapons, Misfits looked significantly less convincing. SK Gaming’s dominance was evident as Misfits only managed to win a single gun round on Cobblestone, highlighting the skill gap between the two teams.

Cobblestone ended with a final score of 16-7 in favor of SK Gaming. Epitácio “TACO” de Melo emerged as the surprising star of the match, leading the scoreboard with 25 kills and only 10 deaths.

In the final game of the series, Overpass, Misfits suffered even more against SK Gaming. SK Gaming dominated the opening half, winning eight rounds in a row and consistently shutting down Misfits’ defense. The only respite for Misfits came from an incredible shot by AWPer Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Kahn, taking down two SK players with a single shot.

However, ShahZaM was unable to replicate such performances for the rest of the game as SK Gaming continued to dominate. The match ended quickly with SK Gaming winning the final game of the series 16-1.

SK Gaming will now face FaZe Clan in the ESL Pro League season six grand finals tomorrow (Dec. 10) at 9am CT.
