Shox Set to Favor Bodyy over NBK in Upcoming French Shuffle: Report

New Developments in the French Counter-Strike Scene

Exciting news has emerged about the upcoming changes in the French Counter-Strike scene.

G2 Esports’ former in-game leader Richard “shox” Papillon is reportedly adding Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro to his team, according to Flickshot. Initially, NBK was supposed to complete the three-player core of the previous G2 team to maintain their Valve Major Legend status. However, it seems that some players now prefer bodyy over NBK in the support role.

Earlier this month, it was reported that G2 would entrust shox with the lineup instead of keeping their current team until after the FACEIT London Major in September. Despite replacing shox with Oscar “mixwell” Canellas and assigning NBK the role of in-game leader in March, the current G2 roster has struggled. They were eliminated in the group stage of their last two international events: DreamHack Masters Marseille in April and IEM Sydney two weeks ago.

Although G2’s line-up without shox seemed promising on paper, the organization is now taking a different direction with its players. If shox leads the team, the lineup would consist of himself, bodyy, Kenny “kennyS” Schrub, Edouard “SmithZz” Dubourdeax, and Kevin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans.

The players left out of the G2 roster, such as NBK, mixwell, and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, may potentially join other French teams or form a team of their own. Team Envy is a possible destination, considering their relegation from the ECS and ESL Pro Leagues. Some Envy players have also hinted at roster changes on social media.
