Shahzam becomes a member of Echo Fox

Echo Fox Adds Shahzam as Replacement AWPer

After the departure of AWPer Mohamad “m0E” Assad, Echo Fox has announced that former OpTic Gaming and Cloud9 player Shahzeeb “Shahzam” Khan will be joining the team as a replacement.

Trialling with the Team Before Confirmation

Shahzam had been trialling with Echo Fox in professional matches before officially being added to the roster. The team had been in need of a dedicated AWP player since m0E left on April 28 due to criticism of his performance and heavy streaming schedule. Along with m0E, Echo Fox has also lost Trey “tck” Martin and Armeen “a2z” Troussi in recent weeks.

Reuniting with In-Game Leader sgares

Shahzam will be reuniting with his former in-game leader Sean “sgares” Gares, as the two previously played together under Cloud9. While Shahzam may not be the strongest AWP player in the region, his acquisition is definitely an upgrade for Echo Fox. The team is now looking for one more player to complete their lineup, with Ryan “Ichibannn” Colucci filling in temporarily.

Eyeing Success in ECS and ELEAGUE

Echo Fox CEO Jace Hall praised Shahzam as a “tremendous player” and highlighted the ongoing Esports Championship Series (ECS) and upcoming ELEAGUE as the team’s targets for success. Shahzam’s first official match with Echo Fox will be against Team Liquid in the ECS tomorrow, while the team is still awaiting their ELEAGUE group placement.
