S1mple set to depart Team Liquid and make a comeback in Europe

Team Liquid Announces S1mple’s Departure from the Team

In a surprising move, Oleksandr “S1mple” Kostyliev will be leaving Team Liquid, according to an announcement made earlier today.

S1mple quickly became one of Team Liquid’s standout players during his time on the starting lineup. The Ukrainian player’s explosive skills contributed greatly to the team’s success. However, his reputation for conflicting with teammates, particularly with adreN/Kenneth “Koosta” Suen over the AWP usage, may have played a role in his departure.

Reasons behind S1mple’s Departure

In the team’s announcement, S1mple cited missing his home and concerns about his role within the team as reasons for leaving.

S1mple has plans to return to Europe and find a new team in the future. In the meantime, he will continue to stream for Team Liquid while the organization works on facilitating his transfer. Taking S1mple’s place will be Eric “adreN” Hoag, the player S1mple replaced when he joined the team at the beginning of the year.

Surprise Departure Following Recent Success

Although fans may be taken aback by this news, Team Liquid managed to secure a top four finish at the recent major in Columbus, where S1mple stood out as one of the team’s top performers. AdreN also showcased his skills during the tournament, delivering his best international performance to date.
