s1mple Departs from Team Liquid

Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev Leaves Team Liquid

Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev has officially left Team Liquid, according to Robin Nymann, the director of eSports for the organization. The announcement was made on Wednesday, April 20th via Twitter.

Reasons for Departure

Robin explains that s1mple made the decision to stay in his home country of Ukraine after returning to secure his visa. He missed his family greatly during his time in the United States and wanted to spend more time with them. Additionally, s1mple had concerns about his in-game role on the team and how it affected the team atmosphere. As a result, he reached out to Team Liquid expressing his desire to play for a European team instead of returning to the United States.

Changes to Team Liquid’s Roster

As a result of s1mple’s departure, Eric “adreN” Hoag, who was previously on the roster as a backup, is now part of the starting roster.

Team Liquid’s New Roster:

– Spencer “Hiko” Martin

– Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski

– Nick “nitr0” Cannella

– Kenneth “koosta” Suen

– Eric “adreN” Hoag
