RUBINO joins Heroic’s starting line-up

RUBINO Joins Heroic as a Replacement for es3tag

In a surprising move, Ruben “RUBINO” Villarroel has found a new team less than a month after being removed from Team Dignitas. The 23-year-old Norwegian will be joining Danish side Heroic, stepping in for rifler Patrick “es3tag” Hansen, who joined the team in July 2017 from Tricked Esports.

Throughout most of 2017, RUBINO remained relatively obscure, only making appearances as a stand-in for Astralis in the ESL Pro League Season 6 and the fourth Esports Championship Series playoffs. Team Dignitas struggled with poor performances and constant roster changes, leading to the disbandment of the mix roster he competed on.

Similarly, Heroic faced challenges in 2017 with its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster. Despite housing some of Denmark’s strongest up-and-coming talent, the team was unable to qualify for major events in the Valve Major circuit.

RUBINO brings valuable experience to Heroic, with a reputation as one of the strongest clutch players in the game. He achieved a victory at EPICENTER 2016 with Dignitas and was part of the North lineup that reached the top eight at the ELEAGUE Major in January 2017.

Heroic’s new roster will make their debut in the seventh season of the ESL Pro League against Space Soldiers today at 10 AM CT.
