Roccat considers former SK CS:GO team for potential acquisition

Roccat in Talks with Former SK Gaming Lineup for a Potential Move to CS:GO

Gaming organization Roccat is reportedly in discussions with the former SK Gaming lineup in a possible move to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), according to sources close to the organization.

SK Gaming’s Departure Gives Way for Roccat’s Potential Move to CS:GO

Last week, the Danish team parted ways with SK Gaming after the organization signed the Luminosity Gaming lineup. The team’s final event with SK was ELEAGUE, and they are now aiming to secure a spot in the last-chance qualifier, starting on July 12.

New Lineup for SK Gaming

After parting ways with SK, the lineup also said goodbye to Asger “AcilioN” Larsen. Additionally, Jacob “Pimp” Winneche joined Team Liquid. The outgoing players have been replaced by Lukas “Gla1ve” Rossander and Valdemar “Valde” Vangsa, who will be part of the team when they return to ELEAGUE next month.

Roccat’s Potential Return to CS:GO with an International Roster

Roccat has been without a CS:GO team since last year, when they housed most of the current ENCE players. The team left the organization in December to join forces with former Ninjas in Pyjamas player Aleksi “Allu” Jalli under ENCE. If the talks with the former SK Gaming lineup are successful, this would be the first time Roccat invests in a CS:GO team that includes players from different nationalities.

At this moment, the discussions between Roccat and the former SK Gaming lineup are ongoing, with no final decisions made. The lineup is expected to receive offers from various organizations due to their recent success. They are likely to secure a new home before their next ELEAGUE appearance to avoid any last-minute changes.
