Reynad: Tempo Storm Plans to Return to the CS:GO Scene Soon

Tempo Storm’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Roster Sold to Immortals

In a recent report by ESPN, it has been confirmed that Tempo Storm’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) roster has been sold to Immortals.

Success and Exclusion from ELEAGUE

The all-Brazilian roster joined Tempo Storm in February of this year and quickly rose to the top of the competitive CS:GO scene in the Americas. However, despite their success, the team was not invited to ELEAGUE, the new $1.3 million CS:GO league organized by Turner Sports. This led Tempo Storm to put the roster up for sale.

Immortals’ Entry into CS:GO

This sale also marks Immortals’ entry into the world of CS:GO. Immortals is primarily known for its League of Legends division, featuring fan favorites like Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon and Jason “WildTurtle” Tran. With this acquisition, Immortals has established itself as one of the most prominent names in North American esports.

Tempo Storm’s Future Plans

In a statement to the Daily Dot, Tempo Storm CEO Andrey “Reynad” Yanyuk expressed confidence that the organization will soon return to the CS:GO scene. Yanyuk also expressed pride in the team’s achievements and wished them the best in their future endeavors.

Notable Achievements and Missed Opportunities

The team’s highlight was their victory at the CEVO Season 9 LAN finals in London, where they defeated Virtus.pro and SK Gaming to claim their first international LAN title. They also finished in second place at DreamHack Austin, losing in the grand finals against fellow Brazilian side Luminosity. However, despite these successes, the team was not invited to two major leagues in 2016: Turner’s ELEAGUE and the Esports Championship Series organized by FaceIt and Twitch.
