The second day of the American Minor for the ELEAGUE 2017 Major concluded with the deciding matches. Here are the results from the three best-of-three series.
Upper Bracket Match
Immortals defeats Cloud9 2-0.
- Immortals win Cobblestone 16-11
- Immortals win Dust II 16-11
Lower Bracket Match
Team SoloMid defeats Muffin Lightning 2-0.
- Team SoloMid win Cache 16-6
- Team SoloMid win Mirage 16-10
Deciding Match
Cloud9 defeats Team SoloMid 2-0.
- Cloud9 win Train 16-3
- Cloud9 win Cache 16-12
In the first match of the day, Cloud9 lost to Immortals, who secured a spot in the major qualifier thanks to a strong performance by AWPer Henrique “hen1” Teles. Muffin Lightning’s Cinderella-story came to an end in the lower bracket match, as Hunter “SicK” Mims showcased great play across both maps for Team SoloMid. However, SicK’s efforts were not enough in the deciding match against Cloud9, with Jake “Stewie2K” Yip and his team securing a second place finish in the major qualifier.
