Possible Departure of Coldzera from MIBR post next Valve Major

Brazilian CS:GO Trio Rumored to Split

Reports suggest that the renowned Brazilian Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) team, MIBR, is facing a potential breakup later this year.

According to French esports news site Flickshot, MIBR’s star player, Marcelo “coldzera” David, is rumored to be leaving the team after a series of disappointing tournament performances. Coldzera’s departure is expected to take place after the FaceIt London Valve Major in September, as the team is already guaranteed a spot in the main event. Losing a player of coldzera’s caliber could significantly impact MIBR.

The news about coldzera potentially leaving MIBR comes shortly after reports that the team is looking to acquire Tarik Celik from Cloud9. MIBR is reportedly considering replacing Ricardo “boltz” Prass with the North American player.

Coldzera, becoming a free agent, could have a significant influence on the game’s competitive scene. He has established himself as one of the top performers in CS:GO, winning two Valve Majors and multiple LAN events. Coldzera’s unique playing style and remarkable skill have earned him the title of the best player in the game in 2016.

If coldzera leaves MIBR, it will be the first time he competes without Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo and Fernando “fer” Alvarenga since entering the competitive CS:GO scene in 2015.

[Update 9/7 1:55pm CT]: MIBR has declined to comment on the matter.
