OpTic Gaming holds a strong lead in the North American ESL Pro League

The Green Wall Dominates North American ESL Pro League

The Green Wall continues to reign supreme in season six of the North American ESL Pro League, maintaining their top position for yet another week.

OpTic Gaming is showing their dominance in the online league with an impressive record of 11-3 and a total of 33 points. In the latest matches, they defeated compLexity Gaming in two best-of-ones and Renegades in another match. Despite a loss against Renegades in their final game of week four, OpTic still holds a comfortable nine-point lead over their North American competitors.

Close behind OpTic are Misfits and NRG Esports, who currently have 24 and 23 points respectively, along with eight wins each. If Misfits and NRG can secure victories against SK Gaming, Renegades, CLG, and Immortals, they have a chance to overtake OpTic in the rankings. This possibility will increase if OpTic struggles against Team Liquid and Immortals.

Renegades, SK, and Team Liquid find themselves in a three-way tie for fourth place. The upcoming week is crucial for them if they hope to remain in contention for the Pro League Finals in December.

Meanwhile, offline event contenders Liquid and Cloud9 are currently trailing in sixth and eighth place respectively. In order to break into the top four, Liquid needs to secure wins against compLexity, Rogue Gaming, and OpTic. C9, on the other hand, must regain lost ground by defeating SK, Rogue, and Luminosity Gaming.

The competition in the ESL Pro League will continue with 42 North American matches scheduled from Tuesday, Oct. 3 to Sunday, Oct. 8.
