Online American Qualifier for Major to be Hosted by ELEAGUE

ELEAGUE Announces Online and LAN Qualifiers for the Upcoming Major<\h3>

ELEAGUE has recently announced the American Qualifier for the upcoming major, which will take place from November 2nd to November 9th, as well as a LAN Qualifier scheduled for December 3rd and 4th. The online qualifier will provide a chance for four teams to advance to the LAN playoffs and secure a spot in the ELEAGUE Major.

The online qualifier will feature both top-tier challenger teams and four exclusively invited organizations. These teams will face off in a live qualifier on LAN at the ELEAGUE Arena. The four invited teams include Cloud9, Immortals, Echo Fox, and Team SoloMid.

This format offers an opportunity for over 1,000 teams to compete at the professional level of Counter-Strike. The online qualifier will be hosted through FACEIT. Here is the schedule and format for the Major Qualifier:

Open Qualifier 1 (512 Teams)

– November 2: 1-7 PM (Best-of-One, Round of 512 teams to Round of 16 teams)
– November 3: 1-6 PM (Best-of-Three, Round of 8 teams to Round of 4 teams)
– Single-Elimination Format and Top Two Teams Advance

Open Qualifier 2 (512 Teams)

– November 6: 1-7 PM (Best-of-One, Round of 512 teams to Round of 16 teams)
– November 7: 1-6 PM (Best-of-Three, Round of 8 teams to Round of 4 teams)
– Single-Elimination Format and Top Two Teams Advance

Closed Qualifier (Eight Teams, Two Groups)

– November 8: 1-6 PM (Two Best-of-One Matches, then One Best-of-Three Winner’s Match)
– November 9: 1-6 PM (One Best-of-Three Losers’ Match, then One Best-of-Three Deciding Match)
– Top Four Teams Advance to LAN Final at the ELEAGUE Arena

LAN Qualifier (Four Teams)

– December 3: 12 PM (Two Best-of-One Matches)
– December 4: 10 AM (Three Best-of-One Matches)
– Top Two Teams Qualify for the ELEAGUE 2017 Major Group Stage

The 2017 ELEAGUE Major is set to take place from January 22nd to January 29th in Atlanta, Georgia. Sixteen Legend and Challenger teams will compete for a piece of the $1 million prize pool and the honor of becoming a CS:GO Major Champion. The Major will be live-streamed on Twitch via the ELEAGUE channel, and the final will be showcased on TBS and Twitch.
