Olofmeister Extends His Break from FaZe, Cromen to Fill In

Olofmeister’s Return to Counter-Strike Delayed

FaZe Clan announced today that Olof “olofmeister” Kjajber won’t be making his official return to competition just yet. As a result, he will be absent from the ECS Season Five Finals this weekend. To fill the void, FaZe Clan has recruited Jorgen “cromen” Robertsen from Heroic as a temporary replacement until olofmeister is completely ready to end his hiatus, which began in April.

In a statement, olofmeister admitted, “I thought I was ready to come back but I was mistaken. I really wanted to make it work, but I rushed my comeback. It’s my own fault, and I should have listened to myself. I will take a longer break and return when I’m 110 percent.”

Due to FaZe Clan’s last substitute, Richard “xizt” Landstorm, signing with Fnatic over a week ago and Heroic failing to qualify for the $660,000 event, cromen has been chosen as the stand-in. It remains uncertain whether cromen will continue to fill olofmeister’s spot after the ECS Finals or if he will eventually be replaced as he is still temporarily filling in for Heroic.

This will be cromen’s most significant opportunity in his career as he has previously showcased his talent on prominent international rosters such as Heroic and the previous European version of Team Dignitas.

FaZe Clan has not provided a specific timeline for olofmeister’s hiatus. Additionally, the team is expected to compete at ESL One Belo Horizonte next week and ESL One Cologne in July.
